For me, the living room is more than just a comfy and relaxing space – it also needs to be a multifunctional space where a home-owner can really express their style. I think the most important detail is a comfy sofa and extra seats for guests but a large rug, accent cushions and lighting can rapidly lighten up the dullest of rooms. I love the clean white setting and mix of textures with a yellow highlight colour in this Scandinavian living room arrangement. The extra fireplace or wall art is the cherry on top!
Created by Jordi Vayreda, this welcoming residence in tone of gray, green also pink used to be a two extent industrial building. Luckily, it lately went to a complete make-over and now it looks like a vivid and playful crib. It is amazing how adding a little color can completely turn around the way a home feels. This was probably what the designers had in mind when filling this place up with colorful decorating elements such as fluffy pillows on the floor, small rugs and tiny rustic containers. Due to the white background, these items stand out and create a visually pleasant contrast. The living room, dining room also kitchen are linked not only physically, but design-wise also. We like how this home seems to be ornamented by respecting a fun pattern, one that involves color and youthfulness.

The best rooms combine variant looks to make a style that’s all its own. Take this sensational, bohemian chic living space, for example. We like the rooms for the way it poise clean, white furniture and walls with vibrant pops of colour. The sofa is simple also modern (not to introduce comfortable, which is important!). But the juxtaposition with that incredible Moroccan-inspired coffee table and bright, stripy rug accord the space personality and style. Extra tons of natural illumination from the many windows, and you’ve got our dream living room.
