Hades
Catamaran

This kit was purchased on ebay, No brand name, $40. It came with just the three main pieces, hull, top and hatch. The seller included paper templates for the wood inserts, a CD with instructions and pictures of how he built it with a video of the finished boat running.

The original design was for a single 700 motor with flex shaft to an outdrive. Instead I used what was in my salvage box from other boats that I upgraded.
Two motors and ESC from a Villain and a Motor mount from the Systems boat.
Set up is a twin direct drive with dual rudders.
I used Basswood for the main struts, transom support and radio gear support $6-$8.

Support brackets are 1/4" x1/4",  the XL-1 ESC and servo are 1/8" clear from the bottom to keep it from resting in any water that may get into the boat. The motor mount is screwed to a thin plywood base glue in at a low angle. The shafts are 1/8" brass rod with a 3/16" tube.
I made an aluminum plate to fit between the rudders and the hull for adjusting their position and added strength.
Drive shafts are 1/8" brass rod, 3/16" brass tube for the stuffing box. The danger in using brass for the drive shafts is once bent, they stay bent, usually from hitting something, like the shore.

The twin rudders were made from scratch
The blades are 2 3/4" long aluminum, brass tube for the shaft, Plastic hinge brackets from the scrap box, they could be made from aluminum channel stock, rudder control arms were cut from brass plate.
