It is very funny how we usually walk with our minds, vizualizing all sorts of beautiful places: from spacious luxury residence with breezy patios, to NY lofts with a detail bohemian flair or little compact Scandinavian apartments with a sharp sense of style. We see everyday the work of some of the most brilliant minds, designers and architects, that make out of nothing impressive living spaces and yet, we rarely think about their homes and how do they look like. So here we are, “sneaking” interior the house of a creator, Susan Drover from SAM Design also exploring her “imaginarium”.

We decided to smash the geometry of the room, thus getting rid of the habitual dead-end planning. The wall with a TV was decorated with felt-lined console (felt is better soundproof substance); between the panels lenient local lighting was built-in and the wall itself was designed in such a way that it makes impression of lightness. The main part protrudes with regard to the basic wall, and mirrors are attached to the lower and upper parts of the wall, which create you feel like the wall suspends. The owners of this house have tried to create their living space a comfortable space with a modern sectional divan and some Asian antiques, but the oversize couch overwhelms the space, making it feel cluttered and small. The overall scheme appears to be fascinating and intimidating, in the same time.
