A small media room can create a big variance to your lifestyle. One of the biggest advantages is that it takes the TV away from the living room and ensures that you don't waste countless hours just staring at it. It also removes this irritating contemporary habit of living half of our lives with the television offering background noise! A devoted media room also forces your family to spend more time together, and you can combine it with a small gaming area, a pool table or just an activity zone to create a more energetic and interactive space. From wasted space on the mezzanine level to the small, unused room in the attic, pretty much any little nook of space can be transformed into a small and cozy media room.

The most basic and functional furniture disposition is to place the sofa across from the focal point with all other sections angled to face the same direction. This permits everyone a good look at the television or crackling fire. When entertaining, round the grouping into a chatty circle by adding ottomans or pillow poufs that face back at the sofa.

Now that spring is here, so many plans swirling about in my head for “garden getaways” in our yard. Too many ideas. Truly, it can be kind of overwhelming to be me somedays, haha (anyone else overwhelm themselves with all the ideas and possibilities? Yes? No?). But like all innovation and grand plans, it can take time to dream up and implement the ideas that make the most sense.

I have more than a week since I have an Iphone 3GS and I have to say that I love this phone. Now since I have bought this phone I’m more aware of all the things that are related to iphones. One of those things that got my attention is Finite Elemente’s new 1 is what you could call a sound board, and is basically a good-looking iPod and iPhone dock in the shape of a shelf. That’s not all. It comes with all of the necessary ports to connect it to your home theater system and a remote control. The load capacity of the ledge is around 55 pounds, but that actually depends on the wall that it’s fixed onto, since this is a floating shelf. The Horizontal 51 should be obtainable soon, although the $660 asking price is pretty cold.

The living room is the most popular place in a house to entertain guests, and where families come together to end their day, relax after a long workweek or enjoy a TV show together. In most cases, this room is on the main level of a home and sees a lot of activity.

Your flat screen tv can be a welcomed adjunct if you can decide how to decorate around it. Before you buy your television take these tips into consideration. Remember, the shorter the room, the shorter television that is needed. Often time’s we buy oversize of a television for the space, and viewers can get headaches, and the picture will also appear pixilated if the viewing distance isn’t enough. Placing flat monitor television over a fireplace or on a highlight wall will accord visual interest that may need extra décor. You decide also make your television a welcomed extra to your home.

For me, the living room is more than just a comfy and relaxing space – it also needs to be a multifunctional space where a home-owner can really express their style. I think the most important detail is a comfy sofa and extra seats for guests but a large rug, accent cushions and lighting can rapidly lighten up the dullest of rooms. I love the clean white setting and mix of textures with a yellow highlight colour in this Scandinavian living room arrangement. The extra fireplace or wall art is the cherry on top!

Large group seating can be accomplished through many ways. Determine what your dining and entertaining lifestyle comprise of and then make your dining room marry to it. If you are remodeling your kitchen or dining area, consider building a built in bench seating area in a bay window nook. You will get extra seating and you will love the way your dining room looks afterward!
