The Harp is dissimilar from any stringed instrument. It's tall, about six feet, shaped a little like the number 7, and has 47 strings of varying lengths, which are tuned to the notes of the white keys of the piano. There are normally more than one harps in an orchestra also they play two together melody or harmony. You play the harp sitting down with your legs on either side, with the neck of the harp leaning on your correct shoulder. Each string resonances a different note (they come in different colors to help you tell one from another) and you play them by plucking the strings with your fingertips and thumb. Attached to the bottom of the harp are seven foot pedals, which change the pitch of each string and allow them to sound the pitches of the black keys on the piano.

Designed by Amirko aka Amirkhan Abdurakhmanov this concept (if it becomes real) will offer you the possibility to completely change the look of a space without having to reach for the paint buckets. Called simply “Change it!” this is basically a big wall of little triangle panels, which can be rotated to get the color of your choice. Each triangle take white, black, and rainbow shades. I feel that in about four or five years this idea could be on the market, and then you’ll be changing the way your studio apartment looks everytime, and who knows maybe things like this will be the future of interior design. – Via – Yanko

When I got home, I spent quite a bit of time calculating my measurements. I first laid the carpet out on the floor and trimmed it a bit to fit the room. Then I measured the length of the field and figured out how far apart my lines should be to allow for all of the field measurements as well as two endzones. I then cut the duct tape into 1″ wide strips and used them to mark a full line for every five yards on the field. I also appended short strips of tape to mark the 1-yard hash marks that appear on each side of the field and then again a third of the way in from each side of the field.

As their Arctic habitat continues to collapse, polar bear hunting is not exactly a sport that’s on the up and up. Animal themed decor, however, continues to be a hot trend in the interior design community. So, how do you get your hands on a bear skin rug without contributing to the extinction of bear populations? French designer Lise Lefebvre has come up with a twist on the bear skin rug that even the staunchest PETA supporter could not complain about. She mixed the classical polar bear rug with a Persian rug design elements. The combination of these two elements is a real eye-catcher.
